Caratterizzata da ritardi esagerati quanto ingiustificati di alcuni prestigiosi esponenti del Comitato Organizzatore e Dirigenti di altolocati Sestieri, la serata di Venerdì 26 Giugno ha rappresentato il momento in cui si è ufficialmente dato il via alle danze. I rappresentanti delle 6 squadre hanno scoperto le carte, declamando uno a uno tutti i componenti dei rispettivi roster.
Improvvisamente sono finiti i brutti pensieri, i pettegolezzi, le chiacchiere dietro le spalle, i sospetti. Nero su bianco ognuno ha potuto vedere le rispettive forze in campo e misurarle, almeno sulla carta, con le proprie. I commenti su assenti e convocati sono rinviati a lunedì, quando comincerà il count down definitivo, e quando avremmo tutto il tempo di giocare il Torneo virtuale che designerà la favorita. Per ora ci limitiamo a elencare i protagonisti certi della singolar tenzone.
Da segnalare il fatto che non tutti i Sestieri hanno fornito 12 nomi totali. Gli “spazi vuoti” saranno riempiti in un paio di giorni o con delle conferme di cui sia attende ancora il segnale, o con dei prestiti da pescare fra i numerosi assenti illustri, esclusi da sestieri che fanno del doping demografico il loro cavallo di battaglia.
Ad aprire le ostilità saranno, Lunedì 06 luglio alle h.20:00 Lido contro Dorsoduro, seguiti alle 21:45 da Castello contro S.Croce/S.Polo. Il martedì le vincenti delle prime 2 partite contro le restanti componenti dei gironi e mercoledì 08 Luglio le ultime due partite della prima fase.

Spesso i matrimoni combinati sono di difficile gestione caro Peter.
La geografia suggeriva il connubio SX-SP ma è evidente come, alla quarta edizione del torneo e con una media di partecipazione giocatori ancora drasticamente sotto le 10 unità, il mio Sestiere abbia un ruolo di comparsa all'interno del Circo in Pattinodromo.
Il ricambio generazionale sta arrivando velocemente ma come al solito premierà i Sestieri in cui la pallacanestro vive per tutto l'anno...
Tuttavia, seppur giostrandomi nell'ombra, non vedo tutto così nero. Sono contento perchè avrò finalmente 12 giocatori (ripeto, 12 giocatori) con la residenza nel Sestiere ed un coach anch'egli dei nostri.
La lista di cui sopra è composta da soli 10 nomi ma non certo per partecipare al mercato dei mercenari e delle “residenze della nonna” piuttosto per non far torto ai giovani che si sono allenati con noi in queste settimane dimostrando un grossissimo attaccamento alla maglia.
Completerò il rooster all'ultimo: voglio un gruppo compatto e coeso in cui anche gli assenti partecipino al post partita.
Gradirei sicuramente maggior chiarezza e trasparenza (su regole, wild card e residenze) ed è per questo che mi appello a te, giornalista super partes.
La divisa grigia non ci ha mai reso giustizia.

in qualità di coordinatore del comitato organizzativo del Torneo dei Sestieri sono ben felice di chiarire i tuoi dubbi, tuttavia, prima, consentimi di farti i complimenti per aver svolto egregiamente, in pieno spirito "sestierino", il tuo compito di capo sestiere. Dico questo perché, purtroppo, l'approccio alla manifestazione talvolta non è quello che ci auspicavamo 5 anni fa quando partì questa avventura. Siamo molto cresciuti sotto diversi aspetti mentre per altri, spiace scriverlo, non abbiamo fatto passi in avanti.
L'errore fondamentale, cui siamo incappati anche per questa quinta edizione, è che ci ricordiamo del
torneo “giocato” solo all'ultimo momento con conseguente inevitabile corsa dei capi sestiere a presentare formazioni frettolosamente allestite, il che comporta dimenticanze e scoramenti per non aver una rosa all'altezza di altri rivali. In poche parole dovrebbe essere il Sestiere, motu proprio, a organizzarsi (ci sarebbero pure 11 mesi a disposizione) per presentare un squadra da iscrivere alla manifestazione senza crearsi aspettative di vittorie finali o lamentarsi a priori perché rappresentato da un roster troppo giovane o non competitivo quanto quello degli avversari. A questo aggiungerei anche l'atteggiamento ambiguo di certi atleti che, pur sapendo della manifestazione, non vivono con partecipazione l'allestimento della formazione, consapevoli che alla fine per loro la chiamata arriverà comunque (quasi fosse un dovere chiamarli!!!) con conseguente, ingiusta, esclusione di coloro che pagherebbero pur di prendervi parte.
La soluzione a questa situazione, agli aggiustamenti in corso d'opera, alle wild card, ai mercenari, alle residenze della nonna, come le hai definite, è molto semplice: prendersi per tempo e conoscere il proprio sestiere. Ovvero coinvolgere prima i capi sestiere, far capire che la formazione nasce dalla cooperazione e dalla spontaneità dei sestierini e, infine, vivere la manifestazione come un momento d'aggregazione e non per forza competitivo.
Entrando nel merito dei dubbi espressi dal tuo intervento ti rispondo che quest'anno con l'apertura ai giovani speravamo che non si ripresentassero i vecchi problemi di carenza cronica, invece ci sbagliavamo: solo tu e Saoner avete colto l'opportunità data dall'apertura. Devo tuttavia precisare che si tratta del caso di due capisestire ben dentro alle dinamiche cestiste cittadine e quindi agevolati nel lavoro di selezione. Per i motivi di sopra elencati, altri sestieri si sono trovati nell'impossibilità di presentare un roster di 12 persone così, invece di aprire le frontiere alla terraferma, si è optato di consentire l'inserimento nella formazione di giocatori con riconosciute radici nel sestiere (es. Roncali ma era già accaduto lo scorso anno) e, nel caso estremo di carenza assoluta, il ricorso ad un “prestito” di quei giocatori non esclusi dai roster dei sestieri di appartenenza.

В пятницу 23 сентября в архиве электронных препринтов появилась статья коллаборации OPERA, посвященная прямому измерению скорости движения нейтрино. Результаты звучат сенсационно: скорость нейтрино оказалась слегка — но статистически достоверно! — больше скорости света. Статья коллаборации содержит анализ разнообразных источников погрешностей и неопределенностей, однако реакция подавляющего большинства физиков остается очень скептической, прежде всего потому, что такой результат не согласуется с другими экспериментальными данными по свойствам нейтрино.
Подробности эксперимента
Идея эксперимента (см. OPERA experiment) очень проста. Нейтринный пучок рождается в ЦЕРНе, летит сквозь Землю в итальянскую лабораторию Гран-Сассо и проходит там сквозь специальный нейтринный детектор OPERA. Нейтрино очень слабо взаимодействуют с веществом, но из-за того, что их поток из ЦЕРНа очень велик, некоторые нейтрино всё же сталкиваются с атомами внутри детектора. Там они порождают каскад заряженных частиц и тем самым оставляют в детекторе свой сигнал. Нейтрино в ЦЕРНе рождаются не непрерывно, а «всплесками», и если мы знаем момент рождения нейтрино и момент его поглощения в детекторе, а также расстояние между двумя лабораториями, мы можем вычислить скорость движения нейтрино.
Расстояние между источником и детектором по прямой составляет примерно 730 км и измерено оно с точностью 20 см (точное расстояние между реперными точками составляет 730 534,61 ± 0,20 метров). Правда, процесс, приводящий к рождению нейтрино, вовсе не локализован с такой точностью. В ЦЕРНе пучок протонов высокой энергии вылетает из ускорителя SPS, сбрасывается на графитовую мишень и порождает в ней вторичные частицы, в том числе мезоны. Они по-прежнему летят вперед с околосветовой скоростью и на лету распадаются на мюоны с испусканием нейтрино. Мюоны тоже распадаются и порождают дополнительные нейтрино. Затем все частицы, кроме нейтрино, поглощаются в толще вещества, а те беспрепятственно долетают до места детектирования. Общая схема этой части эксперимента приведена на рис. 1.
